Phytochemical And Heavy Metals Levels Of Selected Vegetables (carrot, Lettuce, And Tomato) Grown At Kalambaina Area Sokoto

The presence study aimed to investigate the phytochemical and heavy metals level in selected vegetables grown in Kalambaina area ,the phytochemical were determined using analytical methods and the heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Zn, Ni, Cr and Cu) concentration in vegetables and water were determined using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The study indicate the presence of flavanoid, alkaloids, steroids, volatile oil, saponin glycosides in all the vegetables.
