ABSTRACT The challenge posed by cardiovascular disease and the associated casualties has taken a centre stage in policies relating to global health and wellbeing. A lot of technological innovations have been made in this direction with attendant challenges. A standard ECG machine was constructed using affordable locally sourced discrete components to achieve the same objective. Simple Operational Amplifiers, few discrete components, signal pick-up devices and power source were assembled to achieve this feat.
