Abstract
This project envisages the establishment of a plant for the production of high fructose corn syrup with a capacity of 6,000 tons per annum. The country`s requirement of corn syrup is met through import. The present (2013) demand for syrup is estimated at 5,000 tons. The demand for the product is projected to reach 8,858 tones and 14,266 tons by the year 2018 and year 2023, respectively.
