Assessing The Effect Of Dampness In The Lower Parts Of Building In The Dzowulu Locality

ABSTRACT  Dampness is one of the most common defects found on buildings. It mostly occurs at the lower parts of walls. This study was conducted to assess the effect of dampness at the lower parts of buildings in the Dzowulu locality. The methodology adopted was through literature review, visual survey, laboratory tests and interview with construction professional. The findings show that dampness at the lower parts of buildings is very prevalent in the Dzowulu locality.
