ABSTRACT This research work is a survey design, conducted to find out the problems militating against the effective teaching and learning of mathematics in junior secondary schools in Enugu West Senatorial Zone. Randomly sampling method was used to select six teacher and 24 students each from the six sample schools. The researchers used structured questionnaires to collect data from the respondents and also mean of the respondents in the data analysis.
