ABSTRACT This project work deals with the design and fabrication of a suitable journal bearing test apparatus which can help in visualizing the behavior of journal bearing and its characteristics, and in determining the bearing parameters such as load bearing capacity, maximum oil film temperature, viscosity of lubricant, oil film pressure, and coefficient of friction based on experimental analysis.
