INTRODUCTION Hepatitis B is a viral disease process caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Hepatitis B virus is a major cause of acute and chronic hepatitis worldwide and is more prevalence in developing countries. More than 2 billion people are infected with HBV worldwide while some 280million are chronic carriers, harbouring the virus in their liver.
