Abstract
The study was carried out in order to assess the effect of cultural practices on umbilical cord care in institute of child health Banzazzau. The purpose of the study was to identify the existing cultural practice of cord care, appropriate optimal method of cord care, to find out the relationship between orthodox and traditional method of cord care, way to improve in existing cultural practices of cord care.
