Abstract
ABSTRACT The study investigated the role of teachers in promoting skill acquisition among senior secondary school students in production agriculture. It was a descriptive survey design. A sample of 120 agricultural science students and 20 agricultural science teachers in senior secondary schools, Nigeria forms the sample size i.e. 140 respondents. Four research questions and four null hypotheses guided the study. The instrument for data collection was a 40 item researchers made structured questionnaire built on a 4-point rating scale.
